What is the difference between sponge and foam?

 

The difference between foam and sponge:

Foam has high density, stronger liquid absorption, tougher and more elastic foam, good wear resistance, will not scratch the wiped device, and will not drop chips. After particles and liquids enter the foam holes, they will not fall out or be easily squeezed out, and have good locking ability.

 

Foam is a porous elastomer obtained by a cross-linking reaction of a specific water-soluble resin. It has a strong water absorption capacity due to the hydrophilicity in the molecular structure. Different from ordinary urethane sponge, PVA foam has extremely high hydrophilicity, and produces capillary phenomenon with the criss-crossed microscopic pores, which exerts superior water absorption and water retention performance. As soon as it comes into contact with water, it absorbs at a high speed and is stored inside the cotton body. Generally, the water absorption rate is 8-10 times its own weight.
