Polyurethane elastomer, also known as polyurethane rubber, belongs to special synthetic rubber and contains more elastic polymers in the urethane range (-NHCOO-) in the molecular chain. There are many kinds of raw materials, various formulas, and a wide range of adjustment. The hardness is as low as Shore A10 low-modulus rubber, and as high as Shore D85 high-impact elastic material (the elastic modulus can be as high as several hundred MPa, while the elastic modulus of rubber is as low as 100 MPa. The amount is 0.2~10MPa), so the polyurethane elastomer is a polymer material ranging from rubber to plastic.
Foam is a high molecular polymer with many small cells, the solid phase is a polymer matrix, and the small cells are filled with gas.
